The first Summer of Carolina Bay has been jam packed with outings, meet & greets, entertainment, education and more.
We kicked off June with the release of our second edition of the Carolina Bay Watch. What a great accomplishment for a hard working group of ladies (gentlemen are welcome to join any time)! We’ve enjoyed many features in the Carolina Bay Watch including a list of resident Veterans with details of their service, the hysterical Ask Anne column for the best advice around town, activity review of author lectures, Get to Know Neighbors & Staff and the best strawberry dessert you’ll ever taste (even better with sour cream on top!).
Phil Bruschi filled the Forum with patriotism on July 4th for a special Star Spangled Songs performance. There was not an open seat in the house for this musical biography presentation! Other “standing room only” events this past month include the Carolina Bay Art Gallery Dedication, White Wine Social with Al DiMarco, and an extra special Friday Featured Film with our own Nate Futrell sharing his wedding video on the big screen. Not only did we begin the month with a full bus load to Opera House Theater’s performance of 1776, we also wrapped up the month with a trip to Opera Wilmington’s preview show of Cosi fan tutte. Another great month of memories at Carolina Bay!
