Morrison Focus To Eat Local

With the release of Morrison Community Living updated Sustainability Platform, we have expanded our organizational definition of “local” to include “regional,” which is defined as within 400 miles from our account. With this change, we will be able to support a greater number of farmers and increase the amount of local produce we purchase for you at Carolina Bay. Local produce is fresher, tastes better, supports our community and is better for the environment. Eat Local is an annual campaign focused on serving local produce to the Carolina Bay and Bradley Creek Community. It is designed to promote awareness as well as drive healthy eating based on the rising trend to eat local across the country. The goal of Eat Local is to support the viability of the mid-sized American family farm and local communities by promoting local produce and creating awareness of its many benefits.
